hey, i'm chris!

Hey! I'm Julie. I'm a Georgia peach, but I bet you never would have guessed that I'm half Filippino! YES. For serious. So, I'm obsessed with traveling (I could go on for hours), but i'm newly obsessed with the idea of becoming a descent surfer. I'm always planning trips to warmer places and its a solid 9 out of 10 that it's to a beach. When we're not on the go, we're hangin' out in our airstream that's nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. My favorite song is always on repeat! I love surrounding myself with good-hearted, loving people. I have the RADDEST friends. They're all set out to do great things and constantly cheer me on when I'm chasing my own crazy dreams. I'm also a sucker for campfires, longboarding, backroads, hiking, windows down, sunrises, sunsets, and big risks!

we also work full time at The Trophy Shop. It's a family business! & yes, it's exactly what it sounds like! Trophies! We mainly work laser machines to engrave all sorts of things. So, we're together 24/7 and we're thankful for it. We're basically one person. The shop is our 9-5, and we edit after work hours. We also prioritize being in shape, or at least trying to be. When we're in full swing we're hitting the gym 5-6 days a week. We might say we're eating healthy, but I guarantee you there's pizza in the fridge or in our bellies. We can't go to bed without watching at least 1 episode of Netflix or Hulu.. Parks & Rec, The Office, It's Always Sunny... or whatever we're hooked on. We're both considered the black sheep in our families because we're always doing something crazy. 

I guess you could describe me as an adult kid. My favorite things are pizza, donuts (Krispy Kreme is KING), and Mountain Dew Baja Blast! Of course, as an adult, i have to limit my intake of these things. I've been writing and playing music for over 15 years. Right now, I sing for a band called DVNES. My bandmate, Jesse, lives in Alaska. We squeeze music into any space we have with our crazy schedules. I do my best creative work at night. Astrophotography has become a huge passion for me! I love shooting the stars and the Milky Way. Sometimes, I stay up all night shooting them!

it was an accident..

This was all... an accident. No, really! We never had intentions of getting into video from the start.  A long time ago I, Julie, had a co-worker getting married and she knew I had recently gotten a camera and loved taking photos of my friends. She had so much trouble finding a videographer that she asked me to try and help.. & so I messaged multiple Videographers online and no one ever got back with me! She begged me to set my camera up on a tripod & offered to pay me. So, I did. I did a little more than that too.. At the time, most wedding videos were 10+ minutes long and doing 'highlight' videos were more of a west coast trend, but we definitely felt a pull towards highlights.. Not so much the longer videos. They tend to lose our attention. So, a highlight is what we aimed for! & we did just that. It may have taken 80+ hours to figure out my way around premiere pro & cursing the computer for hours, but with the technical guidance of Chris & a few youtube videos, we did it. Once we posted our first video, inquiries snowballed into our e-mail and we've never really advertised much. It took us years to even commit to finally getting a website because the thought of creating a piece of art online that represents you, your business, what you're all about.. well, it's kind of terrifying. BUT WE MADE IT!
